Lovely red, yellow, orange, and green maple leaves in foreground. Then enjoy the expansive wonder that is Wilson Creek Gorge in Collettsville, North Carolina. The Gorge winds up and around the bend through boulders and up around to where the sun is just about to make it's way to some other very lovely maple trees in full Autumn glory.
Wilson Creek is a vast wilderness area loved by locals. It starts up on Grandfather mountain at Rough Ridge trail and continues to build in width and volume as it cascades down the mountain.
This is was one of those scenes so pretty you only had to shoot a few shots. After a few I knew this one was a keeper and I moved on. Might revisit in Winter as well.
