About Ben Kiger

Ben Kiger, a naturalist, was born in Winston-Salem, N. C. and graduated from High Point University where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He also studied commercial art at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and has had a number of years experience as an illustrator, commercial artist and teacher. He owned and operated an art gallery in downtown Greenville, S. C. for nine years. Ben paints in oils and watercolors to capture his innate feeling for nature and draws inspiration from the natural aspects of the land. He never tires searching for those vanishing reminders of the past that are characteristic of the Old South. All the beauty and sensitivity you would expect from such an artist are contained in his oils...
