There is some pixelization, presumably because it is enlarged to that degree. Very nicely stretched canvas, and sturdy. My chief complaint is the focus. Top part is in good focus, lower is not--as though it was imaged at an angle. This is distracting up close, but not noticeable at 10+ feet. Too bad. Otherwise would have been excellent

Print was delivered very welled packaged. It is just what we wanted to be used as a gift this Christmas. We liked the nostalgia of the picture.

This print's gorgeous, but the picture's off-center, see? There's a bigger white space at the top than the bottom.

I love this canvas print. I think it really captures the look and vibe of the original piece of art. It inspired me to buy more art from fine art america.
Artist's Description
322nd Squadron, 91st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.
This scene depicts the mission over Germany on July 28, 1944. The original target was the well protected oil refinery at Merseburg, but the target was clouded over when the group arrived. A secondary target was chosen. Just as the group passed over the Merseburg/Leipzig area hundreds of anti-aircraft guns were brought to bear on them.
One fragment of flak bounced off the windscreen and another entered the cockpit, narrowly missing pilot and squadron leader, Dave Hanst, after being deflected. Other fragments knocked out the #2 engine but didn't start a fire. This was the final mission for Hanst.
