The B-24 Liberator was an American heavy bomber during WWII. used by several Allied air forces and navies, and by every branch of the American armed forces during the war, attaining a distinguished war record with its operations in the Western European, Pacific, Mediterranean, and China-Burma-India Theaters. The aircraft represented here is a B-24H-1-FO, serial number 42-7687, "The Stork" serving with the USAAF, 15th AF, 451st BG, 726 BS.

Wonderful painting of a great, and usually overshadowed bomber, even though more aircraft of this type was built than any other warplane in the United States. (If I can add, also featured prominently in the new movie "Unbroken.") Great job, Dale!
