Description
This little darling is a baby cowbird. Cowbirds are considered pesky because the Mother birds do not build nests. They drop their eggs off in the nests of over 100 species of other birds. Some birds notice and abandon their nests or move their eggs. Most birds will raise the dark speckled egg without ever noticing. The bird will take on the characterisitcs and call of the foster mother bird. When adult they are blackish with a brown head. this one must have been raised by sparrows because he was with them while learning to eat. Pesky perhaps but all babies are adorable such as this little one!
