Artist's Description
This is a close-up photograph of a baby squirrel, Lovey, sitting in a v-shaped niche in tree. This baby is the size of my hand, not including his tail. The niche in the tree is about 4 ft. from the ground. This picture was taken the third day of his re-introduction to the outdoors. He would have much rather been climbing my legs and I have video to prove it...lol...I would place him on the tree, he would promptly run down it, and run back to me to climb up my legs, and attempt to rest in my hand again. Lovey was rescued from my cat, grew up, and in his time he chose to remain in trees. He has been successfully released back into the wild, a very bittersweet event for me. His name is Lovey, because he loved to be held in the palm of my hand and I loved him being there.

I like to take pictures of nature and all of the natural beauty around me, even spiders can be quite fascinating creatures to photograph though I wouldn't want to touch one.
