Description
An impossible bottle such as a ship in the bottle is a type of mechanical puzzle. It is a bottle that has an object inside it that does not appear to fit through the opening. "Ballerina in a Bottle" is a concept based on this idea but presents a technical puzzle. How do you think it was done?
Ballet had its beginning in the Italian Renaissance courts of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The ships or sea vessels of that time are more likely to be seen in a bottle than sailing the sea. Technology has not replaced ballet as it did ancient ships. Ballet continues to flourish while maintaining and building upon traditional building blocks in the art of dance.
"Ballerina in a Bottle" takes ballet back in time rivaling old sailing ships that once stood as a symbol of progress. Art preservation and tradition in a world of modernization is what "Ballerina in a Bottle" symbolizes.
