This tote bag is gorgeous! I saw a picture of it and had to have it. The colors are just beautiful. The size is better than I expected, because it's larger than I had envisioned it. It is practical and functional as well as beautiful. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I love this bag so much! It is well made; the image is sharp and the colors rich.
This digital painting is of the Spitfire New Zealander Alan Deere flew during WW2. His son has since restored a Mk9 Spitfire, PV270 in Alan Deere's livery from when he was Wing Commander at Biggin Hill, shot down twice after shooting down 9 enemies. PV270 provided the model I painted from.
The painting is evocative of the Commando comics I read as a youngster bought from the train station in preparation for a 6-hour journey to visit my Mum at holidays. The 'comics' were only part of the deal: it was the hours then of sketching the characters and their war machines lifted from the pages and mixed into new fields of combat with flying saucers among their deadly foe. In fact, the Supermarine Spitfire was the first pencil sketch I ever sold from a gentlemen's barbers in my hometown (less the flying saucers).
And like me, the surviving Spitfire PV270 was passed around between different home quite often. She was built in Castle Bromwich around June 6th, 1943. She was soon...
