Bannack, Montana is a preserved historical town. Once this town was to be the Capitol City of Montana. Now, of course, Helena is the Capital of Montana. The name "Bannack" was misspelled on the state registry..."Bannock" is what the founders were thinking of...however it came about this is a very interesting place to visit and to photograph.
