This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Artist's Description
I spotted this rusty old shrimp trawler working in the Saint Simons Sound, then watched as her crew hauled in the nets and headed up the Brunswick River and probably to refuel and sell their catch.I couldn't read anything on the stern except that her home port was Norflolk, VA.Checking with groups on Facebook I found out some more info. Dennis Gaskill from Souther Pride Fishermen FB group said "Joanne B. worked on her many years ago.
Yeah she is old but one of the best sea boats I ever worked on and I doubt anything new is built like her. A Rockport boat I believe." And this comes from Charles Mason "Mam, I worked on her back in 1979 scalloping , with Capt. Jimmy Caromondy, some years later he was killed on her when her batteries blew up in his face."
About Laura Ragland
I majored in art at the University of Georgia then LIFE, as it so often does, happened. 30 years later, retired from teaching drafting, art, residential design, photography, digital multimedia production and technology education, I picked up a good point and shoot digital camera and reclaimed my artist status. I am inspired by just being outdoors and near nature. The essence of art, to me, is not just the mastery of its form but the internal visions of the artist coming out so others can see them. I am passionate in my love for our coast of Georgia and it shows throughout my photography.I have been privileged to live here and I...

Great to get some info on this old lady. So nice that she's still seaworthy even though her aft is showing. :) Love to see the shrimp boats ... so much character to them. L/fv
