I have been following the research into the Shroud of Turin for the last 40 years. I was so happy that Ray Downing made a portrait based upon the Shroud. I was very struck by the beauty and sensitivity of the portrait. I have it hanging in my living room right where I can see it most often every day. I bought the portrait on wood and am very happy with it. Thank you, Mr. Downing, for bringing this to the attention of so many people.

A shy Barred Owl bird in the forest peeks around a moss covered tree by photographer Jennie Marie Schell.
Best of Show and 1st Place Nature Division WASHINGTON STATE PHOTOGRAPHERS EXHIBITION at the Puyallup Washington State Fair.
A large owl of the United States, the Barred Owl is one of our more common owl species. As with most owls, the Barred is primarily nocturnal, but it is known to call and hunt during the day in their forest environment. Easily identified by its heavily streaked chest, round, tuftless head, and big, black eyes.
