Description
The Bass Pond is a small stretch of water on the Biltmore Estate near Asheville in North Carolina. We visited in October so saw a wonderful array of fall colors around the property.
If you want to get away from the crowds while visiting Biltmore Estate and gardens there are several walking trails. For a gentle stroll of half a mile or so from the main house and via the Azalea garden is the trail to the Bass Pond. It's well worth the walk and you'll be rewarded with a charming boat house where you can relax before seeing a small waterfall at the end of the pond.
