It is a moment of exquisite beauty and luxuriant peace.

A young woman, stepping from the bath or to the bath (because representational art tells a story, and it is given to the viewer to tell it), exults in light flowing through the windows of her eyrie escape, high above the lights and sounds of the city. Green plants set among the steps add a sense of the outside to the inside, and the arched windows of the glazed glass room serve as a portico, separating the quietness of the room from the busyness outside, far below.
