One of India's most famous bird, the baya weaver builds an incomparable swaying marvel of grass as its home. It is the male who toils on this stupendous creation. He pulls out strips of paddy-leaf and other grsses and uses wet mud to line the interiors of the dome. For the entrance, he builds a long, dangling tube that also serves to keep nosy predators at bay.
