It is so nice that you found beauty in this woman!

It was her childlike innocence that captured me. She really appreciated her surroundings picking up shells along the way. You can see how she is looking out. The purple bathing suit, well that says it all.

What a shot, Madeline. Double took on this. Yes, she is captivating...and comfortable with herself in her purple bathing suit w/hat. I wonder what she is thinking as she stares out to sea? Wonderful are the others in your gallery.

My New Yorker November 10, 2008 cover is perfect as a reflection of my taste in art but, more importantly, it represents an important time in my personal history in a dramatic yet understated way. The date coupled with the light at the end of the tunnel is elegantly subtle. No words needed. It's hung in the entryway of my home.

Artist's Description

I found this woman truly captivating and I took many photographs of her. While a lot of us are afraid to wear a bathing suit if we gain a pound, this woman reminiscent of a Botero painting, moved gracefully around in her purple bathing suit examining things as if she saw them for the first time. Every movement she made was another photo waiting to be taken.

I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed. I have had four one woman shows and one group show in Manhattan. It was an...
