A weekend morning. I can sleep a little later and still be up before the rest of the house. I feel happy knowing everyone is home and there is a healthy child and dog in each of the other bedrooms. When I slip out of bed the dogs meet me in the kitchen, not for a treat but to sit patiently and watch me start the coffee making. I grind the beans add the water and after I flip the switch, my furry lovlies know, the next thing I will do is grab my camera and head outside. That's the moment they have been waiting for. Sometimes I get a few shots for my art and sometimes I just sit, watch the dogs romp and enjoy the moment. A short walk from my house where the land meets the sea, there is the softest sugary sand, and that's yet another wonderful thing to explore. Today I found the tiniest beach cottage there, it's occupant still asleep. When we come back inside speckled with sand, the house is filled with the smell of coffee and home.
