Congrats on your sale!

Congratulations on your sale!

Great painting, Nancy, and congratulations on your sale! :))

The eyes always have it, don't they? I am amazed how, whether one is painting a portrait of a human or an animal, the eyes speak the soul and personality.

This is the first bear picture I've seen where the bear looks both scary, wild and friendly, all at the same time. Love the blue fur. -Sally Porter Meta Expressionist

Good quality canvas, and the photos looks great.

I was very disappointed as the picture on the front of the bag has a black background but the lining on all of these bags is grey. It looks so dreadful I’m sure it even looks worse with a light or pastel coloured cover. As you use it this grey keeps showing giving it a cheap look. it would be so much better without lining if grey is the best you can do. Also the fabric is too soft and droops if the bag isn’t full. So you end up having a droopy bag with grey lining showing. It would be so much better to make this style in the fabric you use in the standard tote. It keeps its shape and the image on this fabric is much clearer. Also it doesn’t need to be lined.

Love this tote, very large and rugged for me to carry books in. Adorable illustration from a gourmet magazine cover. High quality.

Artist's Description

As a child I lived in Alaska. It is a wonderful state full of natural surprises and wildlife everywhere. One of my earliest memories was a family outing where we would go to the local garbage dump, park the car, and watch the bears rummage through the trash looking for food. They were quite a distance away, but it was fascinating to watch their lumbering movements and curious actions. It is not surprising that these ponderous creatures are a common subject for legend and mythology. The original painting was created with oil paint on a 6x6 inch canvas. It now makes its home with a buyer from New Jersey. I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many. Please follow me on Twitter: or read my blog: or visit my shop of small format original paintings:
