Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Perfect! I wish that you'd included a translation of the two inscriptions in some ancient language that are above the shoulders of St John Coltrane. It would cost your company virtually nothing to supply this with the picture.
Artist's Description
This is one of a series painted from childhood snapshots. It combines a dictionary definition which matches the mood of the image. I have always loved words and exploring the dictionary. The words I choose put us in touch with the dauntless spirit and optimism of childhood, and show children as they are; unique and cute, funny and sad, saucy and sweet; real. My book, I GIVE YOU MY WORD, is a collection of the entire series.
About Janice Crow
I have lived in Sonoma since 1976. I began painting in 1980. In this series I combine images of childhood with dictionary definitions to convey the actual experience of childhood; happy, sad, sweet, moody; real. In 2004 I published a book of the entire series along with stories of my own life growing up in Texas.
