Artist's Description
Behold the enlightened bell tower of a 17th century Roman Catholic church called San Giovanni Calibita, in Rome, Italy. The relics of St John Calabytes are enshrined under the altar.
The view is captured from Fabricius bridge (Ponte Fabricio), the oldest Roman bridge in Rome that still exists in its original state. Astonishing to walk across a stone bridge where you know Julius Caesar must have crossed.
