Description
Bernoulli pressure gauge, or venturi meter, at the Nehru Science Centre in Mumbai, India. Bernoulli's principle relates an increase in fluid velocity to a decrease in pressure. This demonstration apparatus is designed to increase the velocity of air flowing through the large diameter tube such that velocity is greatest at the narrowest part. When operational, the liquid manometers (small diameter tubes) attached to the narrow part of the large tube will indicate low pressure by a reduction in the fluid level in the front part of the gauge.
