Splendid Capture ! - l/f

Thank you, Daniel!

hahaha, but I'm thinking that one was for the boys and the other was for the girls???

Yes, you're right. I wonder whose job it was to clean them?

Wonderful shot! ...and look at those old outhouses. Fun! l/f

Thank you, Lynn! I liked that there were two outhouses. No waiting!

Oh yeah Catherine, what a quaint old school house. Just imagine the tales this school could tell....you certainly did a wonderful job on this gold medal work....l.v.f.

Thank you, Dave!

Wonderful image of this old historic schoolhouse Catherine, amazing how it has survived the tornadoes all of these years!...F/T/G+/L

Thank you, Donna!

Very unique piece of art. Displayed in my living room and admired. Will highly recommend.

Daughter-in-law has the shower curtain, which she loves, and thought I'd get the hand towel to go with it. Didn't give it to her. The photo shows the entire towel, not what it looks like folded. When folded you only see some of the "splatters" on the bottom. If you turn it around the zebra's head is upside down. The way it's currently being produced, it isn't a suitable image for a hand towel.

I love the design but wanted to buy a towel that actually gets used - high polyester content makes that dubious. also: I was hoping to support American Artists as well as manufacturers - this sentiment got killed by giant "MADE IN CHINA" tag. Very sad.

The towel didn’t arrived. I tried to call customer service, nobody answered. Wrote message, also no answer. Never again. Also, this is my second purchase, the first one in November also never arrived. Never never again. Like I threw $100

Artist's Description

"Bichet School in Autumn" by Catherine Sherman. A venerable cottonwood tree casts a shadow across the Bichet School in Autumn. How small the tree must have been when students were attending this now abandoned school in eastern Kansas. It still stands because of its sturdy construction. In the back lawn of the school are two stone outhouses. The Bichet School was built in 1896 to educate children from a French-speaking near Florence, Kansas. The school continued to serve the community until 1946 when it closed because of low enrollment. The last class had two students. The Bichet School's architecture is an excellent example of the typical one-room midwestern stone school built during the late 1800s. The builder, Oscar Johnson, who was a well known stonemason and artisan, left examples of his decorative work on the quoins, cornices, lintels, the intricate arch stone where the date and "District 34" appears, the round decorative window and the bell tower. He was foreman for a rock...
