I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

"Bichet School in Marion County, Kansas" by Catherine Sherman. I was driving a two-lane highway in Kansas, rather than my usual route on the Kansas turnpike, when I saw this school. Of course, I had to stop to get a closer look. Later, I discovered that it was the Bichet School, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. You never know what treasures you'll find when you wander the back roads. The Bichet School was built in 1896 to educate children from a French-speaking near Florence, Kansas. The school continued to serve the community until 1946 when it closed because of low enrollment. The last class had two students. According to the NRHP form, The builder, Oscar Johnson, who was a well known stonemason and artisan, left examples of his decorative work on the quoins, cornices, lintels, the intricate arch stone where the date and "District 34" appears, the round decorative window and the bell tower. He was foreman for a rock quarry which yielded magnesium limesto...
