James, the water here is spectacular -- so much like glass, I actually typed glass instead of water the first time. Stunning.

James Eddy replied:

Thank you Patricia. I was so fortunate to be there when it was like glass. I appreciate your comment.

James, this is also known as the "One Mile" since it's one mile from the Bidwell Mansion. The other pool is known as the "Five Mile" for the same reason upstream. Your capture with the perfectly calm waters of the swimming pool is outstanding!!! I don't think I've ever seen it this calm! Usually there's something disturbing the water :) Perfect photo!! F/V

James Eddy replied:

Thank you Mick. I knew it was referred as the "One Mile" but I did not know why. Some days all that we hope for happens.

Beautiful, James!! I'm pretty sure we visited Bidwell Park when I was a child. We'd drive to my grandparent's cabin in Paradise, CA, then take day trips from there. Bidwell Park sounds very familiar!! Love these reflections! f/v

James Eddy replied:

Thank you Lynn. Bidwell Park is in Chico just down the way from Paradise. I imagine this is this place you visited.
