The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

The largest loop in the mystery climber's travels, a full circle of adventure before revisiting a fellow vine and beginning to annex itself and sprout more of its wondrous five-fingered leaves. The full name for this vine is Akebia quinata and the dark purple or creamy-colored flowers are pleasantly fragrant.

I began my love for art by watching my mother paint in oils and pastels. I must have caught the bug because I have enjoyed fifty years of drawing, painting and photography, urged on and instructed by professors, a botanist, a master of Chinese brush painting and calligraphy, water colorists and lately, mixed media devotees. After a course in cubism in 1973 I began to explore pen and ink geometric art. Each stroke was unplanned but exact, the designs becoming more elaborate and more fun to execute. First circles, then onward to straight lines, then organic and architectural constructions. Thirty years later I still dance out on the white space of a simple sheet of paper to weave new drawings. These are hearty plants...the delicate shoots turn into wood which is why they were used to weave baskets. There are so many curves and curlicues, circles and arcs....such geometry!!
