This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

French artist Daniel Buren coloured the La Salve bridge red and softened its lines to create Arcos Rojos installation in a commission to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Guggenheim Museum, in Bilbao, northern Spain, 17 October 2007.
About Rafa Rivas
Born in Barakaldo, Spain, in 1970. I graduated in Fine Arts at the Basque Country University. My photo-journalist career started in 1988 and I have worked for several Spanish and international journals and news agencies. Since 2000 to 2014 I worked as photographer for the international news agency Agence France Presse - AFP where currently I am a staff photo-editor.
