Late evening sunlight paints the western peaks of the Lake District with golden light. This photo was taken from one of my favourite locations in the Lakes; the road that runs across Birker Fell, between Eskdale and Uplha. Its a spot that doesn't get nearly the number of visitors as more easily accessible corners of the National Park, but the late light is fabulous.
