I Karin Kelshall Best am a self taught artist. I did art in school and then never followed through. I started painting again when I was 50 years old . I was influenced by color. Thank you for your comments actually the black calla is really very black and just a very narrow rim of red. but I took liberties with the red.

I have never seen a Black Calla lilly. But what a dramatic painting you have created with it. Marvelous! Thanks for your compliments on my "Heavenly Host". I must set the record straight by saying that it is a collage. So I cannot take credit for the "painting" of the angels, etc. The concept and composition are mine. : )
