I purchased this for a gift and the recipient was blown away. The artistry is alive in this bag with Frida. Perfect!

I absolutely LOVE Monica's artwork and it's extra special to be able to carry her artwork around with me wherever I go. Quality of the bag is good, too!

I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Gorgeous photo on the bag. Loved that I could adjust the photo size to suit my preference. Wanted to use for going to the health food store as I need to replace the 15 year old canvas, washable bags I have now. These will not last as long as those canvas bags. I could even deal with slight fading when I needed to wash them. These do not feel washable. Cheap mesh "fabric" on the interior will tear. Disappointed in the fabric on the inside and outside.

I was hoping for a heavyweight cotton canvas bag to use for grocery shopping; this will not be it. I wanted a bag that would be washable. This has a cheap mesh fabric on the interior that will tear in short order. The exterior is some sort of nylon or other synthetic fabric that I do not feel comfortable washing. I guess I didn't realize what kind of fabric it was made of. It is beautiful but not useful for my needs.

Artist's Description

Inkjet print on heavyweight archival matte paper of my pen & ink illustration updated in 2009. This image contains many African Americans that have had an impact on US history. The outside border, starting at bottom center left, traces the beginning family unit in Africa through the years of slavery and into the progression of historical contributions to American society. By no means complete, this was an attempt to capture many that have left their mark on America. The prints are available in various sizes from 8" x 10" up to 17" x 22". Pricing varies by size. About Dennis Bivens

A St. Louis native with a background in illustration and computer art. My illustrations are an attempt to capture the historical, architectural, and cultural significance of our nations heritage in pen and ink I illustrations. I have also created special interest pieces that include Black Heritage, the Land of Lincoln, and the Holy Land. Many of my larger pieces contain upwards of 50 images and required in excess of 300 hours to produce. These illustrations, created in the 70's, were originally reproduced as marble engravings. Because of their historical content, I felt it was necessary to digitize them and make them available to the general public. They represent many hours of my life. Presently my studio is in St. Louis where I do...
