The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Black Lake is an actual lake filled with cypress trees in north central Louisiana just a few minutes from Natchitoches. It is so pretty that I took a special trip to photograph a section of the lake which was the inspiration for this piece. Although not depicted, all of my fabric collage originals are framed and ready for display.
About Charlene White
To avoid any misunderstanding, the portrait is me, painted by my good friend and fellow art guild member Margie Tate. Margie did this portrait as a demonstration for an art guild meeting. Having never taken a formal art class, I count myself among artists who describe themselves as “self-taught”, though I am completely aware of the fact that I learn from others constantly. I am fascinated with wire and the magical way it lends itself to being transformed into whatever is in the mind and hands of the person bending and twisting and plying the metal. I have hanging on my wall my first piece of wire art. I keep it there as a reminder of the growth an artist experiences by simply going through the processes that define one’s work....
