Description
These grow as wildflowers in poor soils like beach sand, deserts, and waste areas. They need well-drained soil and lots of sunshine. They are a sunflower relative.
These flowers were growing in my garden this summer - planted them from seeds and they really strutted their stuff:>)
Here is some nice info on the plant and how to grow it.

Thank you, Angela:>) The V/F is a special treat - thanks for that, too! Hope you're avoiding the "bad" weather and just getting these pretty dustings.

oh I used to have these all over the place ... easy to grow and bright colours and spread so quickly - they love the sun and you don't have to do much maintenance - they had the bright fire colours and grew so tall and free - nice to see this flower again, my friend

I'm so pleased if they've given you happy thoughts, Claire:>) They really are wonderful! These grew with primroses and black-eyed Susans - quite a show:>) I hope all of them reseeded and show up again this year. By the way - HI
