This is an original oil painting. The game of Blind Man's Buff or Blind Man's bluff, (both spellings are correct) was very popular in Europe a couple of hundred years ago. This is in the style of Fragonard, a French Roccoco painter of the 18th century). The girl is about to fall and the boy is ready to catch her. The cat ads a comic note. It seems to say: "Will she fall or not?" The girl is blindfolded and is supposed to find the boy, while she is in danger, the boy is ready to catch her.
This painting is inspired by Fragonard's painting, however, it is not a copy, and I used my own models.
Blind man's buff or blind man's bluff are both correct. I used blind man's buff because this is how Charles Dickens spelled it in his book. "Blind man's buff origins are from early 17th cent.: bluff, alteration of buff a blow, from Old French buff."
