Description
Blood cells radioistope labelling. Close-up of the use of a diagnostic kit for labelling red blood cells, developed in the 1970s at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), New York, USA. This technique, which uses a radioactive tracer to tag the red blood cells, was patented by Powell 'Jim' Richards in 1976. It is now known commercially as UltraTagRBC.
