This tote bag is gorgeous! I saw a picture of it and had to have it. The colors are just beautiful. The size is better than I expected, because it's larger than I had envisioned it. It is practical and functional as well as beautiful. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Blood of Mother Earth: This original oil painting on canvas was created using oil applied to the stretched canvas using a palette knife. This abstract painting largely consists of geometric forms and introduces the images of oil wells, oil rigs, and platforms. This powerful painting became even more enhanced as it was expertly framed within a brilliant gilded frame. This painting was influenced by what the artist has considered as an outrageous "Raping of Mother Earth's Natural Resources."
This masterful artist has never given up his quest to remain an influential and spiritual inspiration to those seeking beauty through artistic endeavors. He continues to create paintings from his Manhattan studio.
Note: Although the artist first named this painting Power Blood, representing the raping of mother earth's oil, he decided on the more symbolic name,. A Russian woman once advised the artist to name it RUSSIA, but being a devout American, Longo had to let the suggestion pass....
Edward Longo, American (1933 - ) (REF: ROgallery - http://www.rogallery.com/Longo_Edward/longo-biography.html) Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Edward Longo spent his youth in Cheshire. In 1951 he joined the Naval Air Force where he spent four years serving on numerous Naval bases and aircraft carriers as an aviation mechanic. It was only after this laborious process of working with his hands that he became interested in painting. His introduction to paint brushes, palate knives, and the techniques of applying oil came when the Hartford YMCA sponsored a ten week art class. It was only after six of those classes that he felt confident enough to begin painting on his own volition. After many years of experimenting with different...
