Description
Blossom Time by Karen Cook - Emily Dickinson described the male Baltimore Oriole as a meteor of birds. Certainly there is no mistaking that brilliant flash of orange and the dramatic black plumage. Stunning!
It is springtime in the Annapolis Valley and the first of the pink and white apple blossoms are beginning to make their appearance. A delicate hiding place for this Oriole.
The Baltimore Oriole is a migratory songbird known for their flashy orange and black plumage, and their love of fruit, especially oranges!
I love how he is peeking over the blossoms and do you see that tiny dew drop on the top of his head?
