Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

A delicate blue Japanese Iris backlit by the sunlight of a lovely May morning. Image taken in Maryland with the Nikon D300 and the 105mm Nikon macro lens. Some fun photoshop tweaks including addition of a Flypaper texture added in Photoshop CS5.

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. Michael, these don't seem to last as long as the regular iris but they're so delicate ... i love them. A few years ago, somehow we got some white ones coming up ... I keep meaning to get a shot of one of them uploaded as well ... mother nature gave us a lovely surprise!!!!!
