I love the puzzle as I live in Shingletown. It was very difficult! But the letters that say "Gateway To Lassen" are CUT OFF it only shows part of the quotes. 🤦♀️ So disappointing! ☹ *See attached image.

I’ve given the jigsaw puzzle to two of my friends as gifts and they both treasure them. After doing the puzzle they will frame the completed pieces and hang them on their walls.

The professional boatman spent years traveling down rivers and streams and back again, and became one of the most interesting figures of frontier life. He was of the restless type that in every period of American development has done the unusual and dangerous thing just for the love of doing it.

Paula McHugh has created a series of paintings inspired by the titles of American and Celtic fiddle tunes executed in egg tempera and oils. McHughs compositions portray the dynamic force of memory, of people and places that have blazed a trail before us. She is inspired by the American Regionalist Movement of painters, Thomas Hart Benton, Grant Woods, plus the early black and white photography of the 20th century. When she looks back in time into the faces of individuals, long deceased, it reminds her of the power of inviting the ancestors to enter our times so we can again feel the "long story" often missing in our fractured modern lives.
