Last week, I attended an album listening party at one of Nashville's most important dives, Bobby's Idle Hour Tavern. What's interesting to me about this place is not the numerous legends that have performed there, but that it is the only tavern and live music venue on Music Row. Music is a tough business to get into and I was surprised that there aren't more hang outs on the Row. For many years, this has been the place for artists and songwriters to swap stories, collaborate and perform together. Sure, Nashville has many famous music venues that are more well know (Tootsies and the Bluebird Cafe come to mind), but Bobby's is a true treasure.
