Description

My oil painting of a caught, flailing, splashing Bonneville Cutthroat Trout. The Bonneville Cutthroat Trout is a subspecies of cutthroat trout found in Great Salt Lake tributaries in Utah. This fish is also found in Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming. It is the official state fish of Utah. Native Americans and pioneers relied on it for food. The fish has distinct round spots over its upper body.

1. I began my experience in art as a child; and I greatly enjoyed my art classes in high school.

2. From that point, my art talent lay dormant until my semi-retirement several years ago.

3. Since I have resumed my artistic activities, I have taken occasion to refine my skills via online classes; while at the same time, I have worked diligently to create a significant body of art.

6. My two favorite paintings from my 600 plus paintings are my �The Persecution� painting and my �Honus Wagner Baseball Card� painting.

I provide a detailed signed provenance which I write setting forth how I came to paint my original, and including details about my composition, the symmetry � size, shadow, comparison to the landscape or setting, my color palette, my brush strokes, and any comparisons against art history that may be applicable.

19. Personal background.

I work at being a good husband, dad, brother, grandpa, Church and Community service person, family history and genealogy person, attorney at law, businessman, auditor, writer, publisher, speaker, trainer, oil and acrylic artist, gardener, and wannabe golfer.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Mormons). I served a 3 year proselyting mission to the Netherlands and Belgium, several years as a lay bishop, as a member of an LDS Stake Presidency for 13 years, as Region Welfare Executive Secretary and Specialist, as a member of the Melchizedek Priesthood General Committee for the LDS Church, as guide on LDS Temple Square, and as a member of the Salt Lake Inner City Mission leadership. I currently serve as a Salt Lake LDS Temple Ordinance worker, and as the Volunteers Active in Disaster (VOAD) Representative and Welfare Specialist for the LDS Church for the state of Utah.

I am a former chairman of the board of the Salt Lake, South Davis, Tooele, and Summit multi-county Red Cross. He served on Junior Achievement, Lowell Bennion Community Service, and Utah American Heart Association boards.

I served as a member of the Board of Fellows of Southern Utah State University.

I served 14 years as a state and national board member, and state chairman, of The National Conference of Christians, Jews, and Muslims.

I served as director of Program Development and Marketing Services in the LDS Welfare Services Department, as an LDS Church Auditor, as Director of Operations and Director of 16,000 Public Affairs Directors in the LDS Church Public Affairs Department, as Assistant to the President and Vice President of Bonneville International Broadcasting Corporation, as CEO of Bonneville Entertainment Company, Media Paymaster plus, and InteliQuest Learning Systems, as President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of InteliQuest Media Corporation, and as an owner of KIQ AM 1010 50,000 watt news talk radio station.

I operate several blogs and have written a number of books and as mentioned have painted a number of oil and acrylic paintings.
