I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
I lived near a large rail yard when I was quite young. Every night I listened to the cry of the Wabash Cannonball (a famous train). One day an older neighborhood boy dragged me to the rail yard and then ditched me there (I was about 8). A family friend of theirs, dale (always small d), used to come over to her home, sit in front of it and stare at it. Since I hadn't painted the engine I decided to give it a go as a core image in a bigger painting. I called my sister and told her I had started on the engine and that dale would probably like it. That's when she informed me that he had passed the very day I had started the painting. I decided to paint dale's likeness in the cab and place a small plaque on...
About Thomas Stead
My family owned a technical illustration firm so I spent part of my youth observing illustrators produce impossibly complicated projects for Fortune 500 clients. The advantage of my exposure to the profession was simply that I knew the seemingly impossible could be done and that it required an unbelievable work ethic to accomplish.I was not that interested in an illustration career, but I loved to paint. I was fortunate enough to be accepted to a BFA program and then to an MFA degree program in painting. I have had highly divergent influences. After teaching for several years for Ohio U I wrote the art degrees at Shawnee State University and became their first department chair before retiring from FT teaching in 2005. I moved to...
