We have been vacationing there for a number of years now and I have done many paintings that were inspired by this beautiful resort. I am especially pleased with the dreamy evening light effect on the water in this piece. I based these beach paintings on photographs that I took. For this one I took a number of shots from the beach and then I waded in the water with slides on. I got some good shots while the shoes tried to float upward. In the end, the shot from the shore was the one I decided to use. This painting was professionally framed in a beautiful molded, gold stained wooden frame which perfectly offsets the colors.
