This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Artist's Description
This is a portrait of a wild horse stallion from the Sand Wash Basin area of northwestern Colorado. This stallion, along with many others, runs wild with his band of mares, helping to keep alive our western heritage in America. Photo credit to John Wagner, whose generosity in allowing me to use his photos keeps me painting these marvelous wild animals. Painting is on gallery wrapped canvas, extending to the sides, bottom and top; can be exhibited with or without framing.
About Debra Mickelson
website: http://www.debramickelson.com e-mail: deb69772@cs.com Debra is an oil and pastel artist who lives in the northern mountains of Colorado, just 4 miles from the Wyoming state line. She paints the mountain and high prairie landscapes that are her very backyard, along with the indigenous wildlife that frequent the area. "I have moose, elk, deer, coyote, and the occasional mountain lion or bear that appear right outside my dining room windows". Debra also raises and trains American Quarter Horses, so much of her summer is spent traveling the area on horseback, recording the landscape with pastel or oil sketches, and, of course, a camera. She has a desire to record the western, cowboy and ranching culture that is rapidly...

Hi Debra, I grew up in Laramie, so you caught my eye. I love your work too. I will keep checking back to see if you have pictures I can recognize. Of course the Tetons - many a Christmas Holiday our family would go skiing there. My hubby and I moved to Arizona in 1993 (my only second home town). See you on line. Sincerely, Sid Freeman
Debra Mickelson replied:
Thanks, Sid. I lived in Ft Collins for 25 years; came out from my home in Nebraska. I live 4 miles south of the Wyo state line, into Colorado, but Laramie is the closest town. In the Sand Creek Park area. Most of my paintings come from references from right around here. Thanks again!
