Description
Strolling through the cobblestone streets of Bressanone in the Italian Alps. My decision to visit Bressanone (also known as Brixen) in 2014 was entirely random. It wasn't until I was there that I discovered it had been written about in song by the artist Matthew Lien. His music was something I was very familiar with because he calls the Yukon, Canada home - where I had also lived for seven years. It felt like a wonderful synchronicity. As it turned out, I fell in love with this gorgeous alpine village.
Bressanone lyrics by Matthew Lien
Here I stand in Bressanone with stars up in the sky
Are they shining over Brenner and upon the other side
You would be a sweet surrender I must go the other way
And my train will carry me onward though my heart would surely stay
Wo, my heart would surely stay
Now the clouds are flying by me and the moon is on the rise
I have left the stars behind me they were diamonds in your skies
You would be a sweet surrender I must go the other way
And my train will carry me onward though my heart would surely stay
Wo, my heart would surely stay

Neat presentation, Margaret. It has a feel of what one might imagine or remember of the journey that day. - Mike (V)

It all works! The clarity of the candle holders and the blurring of the other colors, including red, brings it together so nicely. Thank you!
