This image has a bit of a back story to it. A good friend of mine has worked as a painter on the Golden Gate Bridge for many years and so I have always been trying to talk him into getting me up to the top of one of the towers on the bridge. Finally I get my chance, on my Birthday. He called me up and teld me that the weather is clear and it might be a good day to go. I drive over to San Francisco and right as I get over to the city I see that the fog is moving in.
We get signed in and board the cart that wil take us out to the towers. By now the south tower, the one nearest the city is completely fogged in so we decide to go to the north tower. We get to the tower and as I am waiting to go up the elevator the fog moves in. Not to waste an opportunity I make this image.
So we finally get in the elevator and go up to the top of the north tower. Not the best for a photo shoot as the fog has settled in and obscured the water below. The deck of the bridge is barely visable. The Mari...
