Artist's Description
One of many images made in the Little Estero Lagoon conservation area, on Estero Island, in southwest Florida, part of Fort Myers Beach. This image was made in March, which is prime time for birding, and tourism, in this area. The best times for this photography are at low tide, when the birds are feeding, coincident with early morning and very late afternoon.
About Mike Goldstein
I have been doing serious photography for about four decades, almost all of it using slide film, until my first purchase of a digital camera some years ago. Since I first took the New York Institute of Photography correspondence courses, I've lost track of the number of additional courses, workshops, and field trips that have enhanced and expanded my photographic experience. The same is true of my experience in the digital world, which began with programming 6502 processors (remember the Apple II?) in Basic, and later, machine language. With the advent of the IBM personal computers, and their many clones, my interest in programming has shifted to using many of the excellent software packages produced by those much more capable than I. ...
