Artist's Description
The end of the growing season produces a tomato that has withstood the summer heat and dryness. Deep cracks appear and the smooth red skin has added color and texture that made my garden produce much more interesting than the "pretty" tomatoes in the store produce section. These, along with my basil and garlic make me glad I took the time to plant and tend a garden.

I consider myself interested in life, finding things inspiring that I would not think worthy of exploring if I they hadn't fallen across my path. My art, like my life, is a work in progress and follows many subjects. My creative life has reopened within the past few years after having been shelved by the requirements of family and career.
