Description
Budapest at night is a feast for your eyes from practically every vantage point you can find! This view is upriver from the Hungarian Parliament (seen on the left) taken from the middle of the Margit Bridge. Prominently in the center is the Chain Bridge (Szechenyi Ianchid) and the Elisabeth Bridge (Erzsebet hd) behind it. On the right is the Buda side of the city, with Buda Castle on the hill. In the distance, shining like a little beacon is Gellert Hill with the Citadella and Liberty Statue alight. From this vantage point, the Hungarian Parliament dwarfs all the other structures and dominates your attention. One problem with taking photos from the Margit Bridge is the great number of buses and trams rumbling across, and shaking, the bridge every few seconds! Trying to time your photo taking to catch the calm intervals in between is a challenge! On the other hand, when you decide to call it a night, you can quickly hop on one of the trams stopping in the center of the bridge and be on your way.
