I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

I first became obsessed with photography and motion pictures while growing up in post WW2 Manila in the Philippine Islands in the late 1940's/early 1950's. Film noirs were a particular influence. But my first love remains the theater. I acted in numerous amateur productions from 1958 to 1978. In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...

Michael, I just lost a longish note I was penning for you. I don't have the time or energy to redo it. Thanks for congrats message on my sale. I looked at all your images. I am presently working on adding more essays to FAA: mavericks/outlaws, cowboys, U.S./Mexico border, Native Americans, etc. FAA is a trial run for my own personal site which will not only feature my stills, but also my short films. Audience reaction remains a mystery to me. Some of my personal favorites have been a bust, while others I am not that crazy about have received numerous clicks. One can't take polls. I try to please myself first. Context is also important. My images are all over the internet. On one site a shot is wildly popular, on another it bombs.
