Beautiful and rich block print Dawn. So wonderful created (fav)

Hi Dawn - You have a wonderful eye for nature and describe it beautifully in your art - With 'Haunted Forest', thank you for looking past the image to the thought behind it - Chris

Congratulations on being featured in the Fine Art America Group "Images That Excite You!"

This one has a very special meaning for me because I had a pet Burrowing Owl when I was in college given to me by a zoologist. He was a delight to have and became quite attached to me. I took many notes of the humorous incidents that happened with that darling owl and someday want to write a children's book.

Excellent love the eyes on this little guy

CONGRATULATIONS on your Honorable Mention in "Solitary Bird--or 2" contest hosted by FAA. There were 393 entries. Excellent work!

I really like this. It made me laugh because the subject looks funny as if it were a little kid in first grade. Nicely and delicately presented.

simple and beautiful!

What beautiful simplicity of feeling without it's being at all a simple artwork. The complexity of feathers against the stark background is wonderful. What a wonderful creature you have brought to light.

This is a lovely village called "MAIKAMMER". The wine of this area is so good. It makes the people happy. What a wonderful picture you have taken, Philip! I love it.

I ordered this bag to be used by my very handsome 84 year old gentleman friend when he goes to water aerobics with me everyday, He grew up in Harvey Illinois as the oldest of five children in a economically challenged family. There were no books in his home and he was thrilled to find a public library where they let you borrow books to take home and read. It was the start of a lifetime of the love of reading and learning and the pathway for financial success. Thank you William Brody for creating this painting.

Artist's Description

Riding their horses across the sweeping sagebrush desert, Dawn and her husband Juel spy a tiny burrowing owl sitting on a spike of mullein. Then the rest of the family catches their eye, bobbing and bowing, as these ground-dwelling little owls often do, from the old prairie dog burrow they have taken over for their nest. Dawn delights in al the creatures of the valley and mountains surrounding her cabin, with all their many habitats. The sagebrush desert stretches for hundreds of miles to the west and northwest., and besides the burrowing owls is prime country for pronghorn, wild horses, rattlesnakes, and many other wild animals, including a surprising herd of desert elk.

About Dawn Senior-Trask

Dawn Senior-Trask

I have been an artist since I was knee high to a short-horned locust. My dad, Willoughby Senior (FAA) was a professional artist and writer and I have stepped in his shoes since I was born, though he drew horses better than I did when I was a kid. My family lived in a hand-hewn log cabin we built ourselves in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had no water or electricity. I love my life with my husband and family in Wyoming among the horses, gophers, deer, antelope, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and the wild landscape. My work is driven by the land, animals, wild plants and birds I have come to know so well. Hummingbirds still try to get nectar from my upturned fingers. My artwork consists of all these things and more...
