Artist's Description
The John P. Cable mill is a grist mill in Cades Cove on the Tennessee side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The mill was built in the late 1860's or early 1870's and featured an overshot wheel powered by water from Mill Creek. The mill is still in its original location; it was restored in 2000.
