I found the resolution of the picture inadequate. Also the picture was too dark and some of the objects not visible enough because of the darkness. Overall I am really dissatisfied with my purchase.

(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) I don't see too many of these at the end of trains anymore, but way back in the day as a small boy I saw quite a few. Especially during the summer when we were out of school and had lots of time to play in our neighborhood. Down our street at the bottom of the hill there was a train yard and several sets of tracks. Back then it was safe for kids to go exploring and have adventures on our own, so we did. Trains passing through town, or loading and unloading were always interesting to watch, plus dear old Mom encouraged my brother and I to get out of the house to go play somewhere with our friends. There was usually some mischief involved like trying to throw a rock threw an open door of a moving freight car, or placing a penny on one of the rails before a train came by to flatten it out like a pancake. Or you could just simply test your ability to count the number of cars on a long freight train slowly going by. You always knew just when to...

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR film camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold, but I have always enjoyed photography as an art form. Several years ago, after surviving another kind of war with cancer, I began to really see the beauty in our world.
